Have you decided to homeschool like, yesterday? Wondering how you can get started homeschooling right away? Here’s the quickest way you’ll ever hear on how to start homeschooling right away.

First of all…

You’ve decided to homeschool! First of all, way to go! You are about to give your child one of the greatest gifts a parent could ever give. Good job momma!

This guide will help you get started homeschooling right away. No need to start researching methods and curriculums, purchase school supplies… nothing. Seriously. This is a super quick-start guide.

For the sake of focusing on getting you homeschooling right away, I’m going to assume that you have not yet had time for any research, are unfamiliar with the various types of homeschool methods, and are basically starting at ground zero. Furthermore, I won’t be going into any of those details. There will be a time and place for that. This is not it.

What I need you to do is just trust me on this process. I’m going to tell you exactly how to start homeschooling immediately and then you are going to start. LATER you can gradually research, shift, change, add curriculum, adjust methods and anything else you want.

Believe it or not, it is very simple to start homeschooling. One particular homeschool method lends itself to immediate access and ease of use to start homeschooling right away and that method is the classical method.

Now like I’ve said, I don’t want you to think you’ve got to go and research all the homeschooling methods to determine if the classical method is best for you. Just trust me for now. You can change methods later if you wish.

It’s helpful just to know a teeny tiny bit about the classical method so simply put, the classical model starts with memory work. And lots of it. Memorizing information sets the foundation for successful learning later on. Trust me. So to get started homeschooling right away, the simple answer is to give your child lots of information to memorize.

In its basic form, this is homeschooling my friend. Providing a feast of information for your child to partake. So what types of information should you be feeding your child? Great question! There’s an app for that.

The only thing you need to start…

Ok I lied, you will need to buy ONE thing to start homeschooling right away… BUT it’s super cheap and is truly, all you need to start asap.

Classical Conversations has an app chock full of things your child can memorize. The first year app is only 15.99 on the Apple App Store. Essentially, the job of curating the information and presenting it in a memorable way has already been done for you. All you have to do is lay it out and let your child feast.

With the app, you have 24 weeks of work already prepared for you in 7 different subjects. If all you do is go through the weekly memory work everyday for 24 weeks, you’ll have successfully homeschooled your child for half a year. Seriously. Trust me.

If that’s not the quickest way to start homeschooling, I don’t know what is.

Seriously that is all there is to it. It only takes about 10 minutes total time to run through all the subjects for one week in the Classical Conversations app. Then you have the rest of the day to do your research on state laws, methods, and curriculums, etc.

And there you have it. The super, quick-start guide to get started homeschooling! Now go purchase and download the Classical Conversations app and begin memorizing!

When you have settled in to a good memory work rhythm and feel ready to start tackling some of the ‘official’ homeschool research, I’ve got a post that will walk you through what you need to know in order to homeschool.

Pin for later
