Now that Prince Fynnegan has finally met Princess Alana, he can’t wait to return to his kingdom so they can begin their lives together. Pop track, Beatiful Soul (Jessie McCartney) and classical tune For the Love of a Princess (James Horner, London Symphony Orchestra) sum up his feelings for his beautiful bride-to-be.
Unfortunatly for Princess Alana, things aren’t quite so simple. Although she’s drawn to her betrothed, she can’t quite seem to keep her eyes off of her bodyguard, Koa. The emotional hit, What Was I Made For (Billie Eillish) gives the reader insight into her confusing emotions. The alt pop track, Sorry (Halsey) perfectly encompasses the moment she makes her heartbreaking decision.
Meanwhile, Griff and Halyn finally open up to one another about their feelings. Sharayah Maurice felt the song Minefields (Faouza, John Legend) gave off the perfect vibes for the pair. Additionally, the author reported that the alt pop tune On the Verge (Skott) could be Griff’s theme song for the novel.
Fun fact: when Sharayah Maurice first heard the electro-house track Fly Away (TheFatRat, Anjulie), she felt like she was instantly transported to Tanithor!
